The Hon. John Pascoe AC CVO, Award Supporter, Retires as Chief Justice of the Family Court of Australia

On Monday 8th October, a joint Ceremony of the Family Court and the Federal Circuit Court was held to mark The Hon. John Pascoe AC CVO retirement from the position of Chief Justice of the Family Court of Australia.

Mr Pascoe is a loyal and long-standing supporter of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award; he served with distinction as National Chair of the Award in Australia between 1995 and 2004 and was a former member of the Board of Trustees of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation (UK). Currently he is an honorary advisor and Regional meeting Chairman of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Association (Asia Pacific). Further to this, he is one of the founding members of the Alumni of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia and An Award Ambassador. In recognition for his service to the Award, he received a Gold Distinguished Service Medal in 2016.

He was also awarded a Centenary Medal in 2003 and was appointed a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order in January 2010.
