60th Anniversary
2019 marks the 60th Anniversary for The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Australia.
Award Ceremonies
On completing the Award, Participants will receive a certificate and badge as recognition and acknowledgement of their achievement. This is usually presented at an Award ceremony.
The Award Operating Authority in each State or Territory holds Award Ceremonies for Participants who have achieved their Gold Award.

Award Leader Training
It is mandatory for all Award Leaders to complete Award Leader Training so that they are fully aware of the implications and responsibilities involved with operating the Award.

International Gold Event
The International Gold Event is held a global leadership program for the immediate next generation of key decision makers and influencers within The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award worldwide and is held every three years.

APEC Youth Forum
Each year the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Office is responsible for recruiting and selecting Australian representatives to attend the APEC Youth Forum.
