#ACT4SDGs - Achieving SDG no.3 through the Award

September 14, 2020

This September is a unique moment when the United Nations General Assembly will convene all world leaders for the first time since the pandemic began. They will mark five years since 193 countries endorsed the Goals, as well as the 75th anniversary of the United Nations.

The 2020 Global Week to Act4SDGs, on September 18-26, is a joint call to action for everyone– leaders, citizens, organizations and institutions- to commit to make this a Turning Point for People and Planet and put the Goals at the heart of their recovery plans, to use the next ten years to deliver all the Sustainable Development Goals, together

Australian Gold Award Holder Melanie Tran will be representing The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, which is one of the six largest global youth organisations, at the UN Sustainable Development Goals Action Zone! She will be joining a panel made up of representatives from the other 6 global youth organisations to discuss how global organisations are mobilising millions to help drive positive social change, led by young leaders from almost every corner of the world.

In line with the SDG's we encourage all Duke of Ed Participants to achieve SDG no. 3 Good Health and Wellbeing through the Award activities they do every week.

To join, simply think of how the activities you are doing for your Award relate to SDG no. 3 Good Health and Wellbeing and share it on the SDGs page and on social media and here: https://www.tfaforms.com/4850692
