Last Tuesday, the 16th October, 8 Award Holders (7 Gold, 1 Silver) attended a Reception for Young Australians with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), representing The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award - Australia.
The Gold Award Holders included Neelam Gopalani, Japneet Gulati, Brough Whibley, Zachary Drysdale, Alex Zappia, Emily Milton Smith, Eleanor Kirkpatrick, and Silver Award Holders, Scott Green.
With the Award partnering with Invictus Games Sydney 2018 this year, the Award Holders attendance at the reception with Prince Harry, reflected the Award’s support for the Games.
Amongst the Award Hs was Zac Drysdale who was involved in raising funds for Invictus Games this year.
“I helped volunteer for James Griffin MP Member for Manly at the Manly Marlins v Navy Rugby Union Game. The game was in support of Invictus Games to help raise awareness for the event but also collecting donations. I personally helped set up the Invictus Games advertisements around the stadium as well as with collecting money at the front gate.”
