I heard about it through my Family.
Why did you decide to do the Award?
I wanted to do the Award in order to add to my leadership skills and opportunities.

St John Ambulance
How did you start volunteering with St Johns Ambulance?
I started volunteering with St Johns Ambulance because my brother volunteered in the Australian Air League and I wanted to volunteer too. When I was younger I always used to like putting ban aids on my 3 younger brothers when they got injured or wrapping a bandage on others when they needed one. So my mum kept on searching until she found St John Ambulance.
When we found St. John Ambulance we thought it was a perfect match for my personal interest and expertise.
I love Monday’s (that’s when I volunteer at St Johns) and I enjoy it every week. It’s something I look forward to.
Have you still been able to Volunteer during the Covid-19 pandemic?
Yes, we have continued volunteering via Zoom since Term 1. Usually on the same day and times. Monday 6-8 pm, Weekly.
What sort of challenges are you facing in your day-to-day life, as a result of COVID-19? How has this impacted you?
Zoom videos are endless and staying indoors for too long can get frustrating at times.
Is the Award helping you deal with any of these challenges? If so how?
Yes, its been teaching me patience
Have you had to adapt your Award activities as a result of COVID - 19? if so, how?
Yes, I changed my physical activity from swimming to walking.
What would you say to someone who thinks doing the Award is too hard right now and wants to wait until its easier after the virus?
Don’t worry, every problem or hurdle can be resolved.
Is there anything else you would like to share about your time doing the Award?
I have enhanced my cooking skills while working on food presentation.
